From the time he was a young teen, Rocco, owner of Casa Calamari, has been in the business of cooking and serving great Italian food in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. When Rocco knew it was time to share his expertise, talent and knowledge from the kitchen, He created Casa Calamari in 1995, located in the heart of Bensonhurst, to crowds of enthusiastic diners.

From the very first day Casa Calamari arrived, it has been an establishment that gives hours of feasting and joy to it's many patrons via a menu that combines family recipes, Italian classics and wonderful new dishes that came to life in the Casa Calamari kitchen. Gourmet catering, afternoon lunches, weekend entertainment and of course Sunday dinner, have all become a Bensonhurst pastime for so many as they enjoy Rocco's many traditional dishes and a lot of his newer creations too.

In addition, Rocco's greatest joy has been his menu of Wood Burning Brick Oven Pizza. Wonderful toppings and the creation of some very original and distinct pies keep Brick Oven Pizza Lovers simply coming back for more.

Standing in mid-career, Rocco hopes to continue for many decades in service to this wonderful community. For him, as well as for his family, it has truly been a pleasure and a privilege.
